Sagada

If you feel like waking up in a chilly and simultaneously sunny weather, Sagada is the way to go. A welcome break from the Philippine beaches, this destination is estimably 5 hours away from the Baguio, Benguet city center and is perfect for those looking for scenic and calm landscapes, offering people peace and quiet, and away from the humidity of the city. Notable sites to visit in Sagada are the Marlboro Hills and Kiltepan Peak if you’re up for a hike and in marvelling a sea of clouds during sunrise, Hanging Coffins if learning about culture is a hobby both you and your partner enjoy, and if you and your partner are looking for other activities in Sagada aside, try Sagada Pottery and have a friendly competition on who’ll make the better craft!

Batanes

Probably one of the most voted places to go to, Batanes is truly an idyllic postcard perfect destination. The destination is also a perfect place for a proposal as Batanes will give you the perfect backdrop anyone could ask for– the sea, the mountains, the rolling hills, and that romantic gust of wind (now, we’re not saying that you should do this, but this could be a sign). One can say that the place is truly a unique one as compared to other destinations in the Philippines, being the northernmost province in the Philippines gave it the privilege of truly maintaining their traditions and having an unspoiled beauty; dotted with lush green meadows, old stone houses with cogon roofs, and unpasteurized lands, Batanes is surely one for the books.

Boracay

Despite being one of the top destinations in the Philippines, Boracay will always remain as a romantic destination due to its unparalleled sunset and white sands. As the island is used to the tourist influx, it is ready to arrange tours and activities that a couple would like to take part on, be it windsurfing, island hopping, pub crawls, or even the not-so-usual activities done in Boracay like trekking and scuba diving. Enjoy long walks along the coastline during dusk, and head straight for a romantic dinner after, then wake up to the sound of the waves and the sun knocking through your window.

El Nido

For lovers that truly adore the sea, El Nido is the perfect getaway with its bountiful islands and islets that allow a person to be one with sea up ‘til their heart’s content. It is also easy to blend in at El Nido as the locals are very welcoming which will allow one to be amazed at how happiness could be achieved even when life is simple. Apart from the beaches, the destination is also teeming with restaurants and pubs, and other sites such as waterfalls and a cliffside restaurant where a sunset overlooking the beach may be the highlight of the day. Different tours are available in El Nido, but the best romantic gesture we can recommend is a sunset yacht or catamaran tour, where one can see the line where the sky meets the sea calling you.

Camiguin

Dubbed as the Island Born of Fire, visit Camiguin to bring the heat up or to rekindle the fire as you getaway in one of the smallest islands in the Philippines. The destination is a quiet one– away from tourists, and mostly occupied with expats and immigrants due to the province’s calm countenance and rural charm. Camiguin is one for adventurous couples– Mantigue Island is a must-see for scuba divers, and Mt. Hibok-Hibok will surely be one of the unforgettable trails and sights that one can witness as you also try to identify the various flora and fauna present, and see one of the volcano’s craters.
