The country’s smallest province is called Siquijor Island in central Visayas, 30 kilometers east of the southern tip of Negros Island. It is a lovely, peaceful place with lush greenery, sleepy fishing villages and white sandy beaches. Siquijor also offers some of the best diving and snorkeling spots. It is an extremely relaxing place to stay, and also a good jump-off point for day trips to Apo Island.

Apo Island is one of the world’s best known marine sanctuary and home to a wide variety of fish, corals and turtles.
