Siquijor and Apo Island are two of the southern-most islands in the central Visayas region of the Philippines. Siquijor is about 30 kilometers southeast of Dumaguete City. The island consists of six municipalities: Siquijor, Larena, Lazi, Maria, San Juan and Enrique Villanueva.

Siquijor is a beautiful and untouched island, which still retains its wonderful atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The coastline is surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches, and the mountains are covered by lush vegetation. The island is also home to some beautiful Spanish-era churches and a well-preserved convent in the town of Lazi.

Scuba diving in the area is world-class, and there are a handful of well run and professional beach resorts. The best is Coco Grove Beach Resort on the south-west coast.
